Current Employment Opportunities:
Mount Norquay Ski Resort in Banff National Park is looking for a full-time bus mechanic, to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and versatile mechanic who has worked on various mechanical equipment. We are looking for someone who is a problem solver and a fast thinker. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time and permanent position. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied and interesting role, in a fun, ski resort environment.
Duties:
- Maintaining and repairing a fleet of 24 passenger busses (no air brakes)
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing various mechanical issues
- Assisting with heavy-duty mechanics and small engine mechanics
- Working alongside the maintenance department across the ski hill
- Operating snow clearing equipment
- Assisting with lift starts in the morning and helping diagnose any concerns or issues
- Practice working in a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- A trade certificate considered an asset
- Fall Arrest is considered an asset
- First Aid Certificate considered an asset
- Education and experience in diagnosing and repairing various engines and vehicles
- Having your own tools is an asset, but not a necessity
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Benefits:

Duties may include:
– Operate our different types of ski lifts according to the Z98 regulations
– Safely loading and unloading guests on the chairlift
– Providing excellent customer service
– Help with crowd control on busy days
– Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable (snow & ice removal, ramp work, etc)
– Assessing guest needs and chair lift requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
This role is based outside and you must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
Requirements
Be Physically fit
Guest service experience or willing to learn.
Good ability level on skies/snowboard is an asset
Able to perform tasks with respect to company policies and procedures.
